This video shows the process of doing a coverup tattoo from start to fully healed. Design flexibility, stencil placement and the ability to alter or freehand elements in the moment are essential to a successful coverup. This one was especially challenging because the original tattoo was still so dark and heavy, there was some scarring and thick red outlines to deal with, and we didn’t have a ton of room to work with as the client didn’t want to go lower or wider with the new design. Using solid opaque color in the butterfly and organic elements helped make this work. #coveruptattoo #butterflytattoo #beforeandafter #healedtattoo #losangelestattooartist
